Special Information & Benefits for Members of the U.S. Armed Forces

MyCAA Funding

The MyCAA funding program offers $4,000.00 for eligible military spouses who are interested in training for portable, rewarding careers that offer employment opportunities across the nation, so spouses can have a career no matter where their path takes them. Washington Online learning Institute offers a variety of career training programs, many that allow you to complete the program with no out-of-pocket expenses. All Washington Online learning Institute programs are approved for MyCAA funding. For more information on the MyCAA funding program, visit the MyCAA page.

Who qualifies for MyCAA?

You must be a current spouse of an active duty Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine, National Guard, or Reserve member in pay grades E1-E5, O1-O2, or W1-W2.

If a military member is a National Guard and/or AGR member, they must be on federal Title 10 active duty orders as reported in DEERS for their spouse to be eligible for MyCAA funding.

Spouses of National Guard or Reserve members in Alert, Transition Assistance, or Post Deployment status are not eligible.

MyCAA accounts will be limited to the new $4,000 maximum benefit with a $2000 fiscal year cap. Waivers to the fiscal year cap will be available for spouses pursuing licensure or certification with a cost that exceeds the $2,000 fiscal year cap up to the total maximum assistance of $4,000.

Spouses must finish their program of study within three years from the start date of the first course.

Funding is limited to only Associate's degrees, certifications and licensure programs.

How do I establish a MyCAA Account?

Spouses can visit the MyCAA Spouse Portal online at https://aiportal.acc.af.mil/mycaa and provide the required Spouse Profile information. A real-time DEERS eligibility check will confirm if spouses meet MyCAA eligibility requirements. Once confirmed, spouses can move forward and establish a MyCAA Account. Those who do not pass this check will be provided additional guidance.

For guidance with MyCAA Funding, eligible Military Spouse's should contact a MyCAA Career and Education Consultant for assistance. Consultants are available Monday - Friday, 7am-10pm and Saturday 10am - 5pm EST. Counselors can be reached by calling 1-800-342-9647.
